Alabama Face Mask Mandate and Shorter, AL

For the well being of our citizens, myself the Mayor and the Shorter Town Council, stand in support of Alabama Governor Kay Ivey's facemask mandate. I employ our citizens to please follow these guidelines. Let's use the facemask as a symbol of strength, protection, and most of all personal responsibility in a moment of collective trauma, as opposed to a symbol of anxiety and obstruction to public deliberation. Shorter is a community of growth and caring. For the future of Shorter and our citizens, let’s respect the health of others and keep the faith. We are all in this together.
